If you're looking for a way to secure your home, office or business against thieves but don't want to install unsightly bars, certified security film is the ideal solution. Thinner security films are a great solution not only for windows, but also for glass doors, mirrors or railings. They are particularly useful for households with children, schools and nurseries where there is a higher risk of children being injured by broken glass.

Properties and types

The safety film is installed on the inside of the glass with a minimum thickness of 3 mm. These films are certified according to European standard EN 356 and meet resistance class P2A.

* For extra protection needs, CLEAR 17 C (485 microns) is available on request - explosion protection, tested according to the European standard EN 13541.

Safety films effectively prevent forced entry and provide excellent protection even during natural disasters such as pressure waves or storms. We recommend installing them even if you already have bars. While bars provide some protection, heavy objects or incendiary bottles can puncture the glass, a situation that security films help eliminate. Because of this, some insurance companies consider the application of safety film similarly to bars when assessing risk and determining insurance coverage.

Safety films are a great way to ensure the safety of your loved ones, especially children. In any space where there is a mirror, window or glass door, there is a risk of being cut if you accidentally bump or fall. To minimize this risk, we recommend using protective films that are designed to hold the glass together even after it is broken.

SC4 film is the ideal choice for mirrors and finer glass where protection while maintaining aesthetic appeal is key. For larger and heavier glass surfaces, such as shop windows or large windows, we recommend the thicker SC7 and SC8 variants, which provide increased protection and durability. These films are installed from the inside, ensuring their longevity while meeting standards for use in the food industry.
